Artist Introduction

Liu Liyong is a landscape painter of the China Artists Association whose monumental ink paintings of misty rivers, verdant mountains and the karst peaks of Guilin have won China’s highest landscape-painting honours. His works combine traditional brush discipline with a modern sense of atmosphere and light. Artist Introduction Liu Liyong (刘立勇), courtesy name Shihong, was born in 1970 in Julu, Hebei Province, and now lives in Beijing.
