About the Artist

Yin Jinghua is a leading contemporary figure painter celebrated for his sensitive portraits of modern life. A council member of the Chinese Painting Society and member of the China Artists Association, he has been honoured in national exhibitions for two decades — his works praised for their precise draughtsmanship and their quiet, penetrating portrayal of the inner world of his subjects.

Artist Introduction

Yin Jinghua (尹晶华) was born in 1967 in Gushi, Henan Province. He is a council member of the Chinese Painting Society, a member of the China Artists Association and of the Guangdong Provincial Artists Association, a council member of the Shenzhen Artists Association, Vice-Chairman of the Shenzhen Futian District Artists Association, a specially invited artist of the China Great Wall Painting and Calligraphy Academy, a visiting professor of Xinyang Normal University, and Director of the Nanyuan Art Museum. His works have been selected for more than twenty national exhibitions organised by the China Artists Association and the Ministry of Culture, including the 2nd National Figure Painting Exhibition, the 7th National Sports Art Exhibition and the national exhibition marking the 30th anniversary of reform and opening-up. His painting “My Shenzhen, My Home” was created for the 30th anniversary of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, and “Dust and Iron in the Desert” was selected for the national Yellow River Estuary exhibition. He has held solo exhibitions in Shenzhen, Beijing, Paris (at the Cité Internationale des Arts), Gushi and Dongguan, and won a bronze medal at the Nanjing International Art Exhibition in 2014. His works are rigorous, refined and unpretentious, with accurate draughtsmanship and a special gift for depicting the still, contemplative inner worlds of his figures — compositions of complete balance and quiet symbolism that have won him wide admiration.
