Han Jinshui Calligraphy | 大象无形 (The Greatest Form Is Shapeless)
This authentic regular script (kaishu) work by master Han Jinshui features the phrase “大象无形” (The Greatest Form Is Shapeless). The phrase comes from Chapter 41 of Laozi’s Tao Te Ching, teaching that the grandest presence transcends visible form. The inscription embodies enduring Chinese wisdom and the literati spirit of classical brush writing. Executed with upright, steady brushwork and orderly, dignified structure, the composition balances literary depth with visual rhythm, as the characters rise and fall with confident energy across the sheet. Each viewing reveals new subtleties in the ink modulation and spatial arrangement, a hallmark of Han Jinshui’s mature style. Signed and sealed by the artist and presented in traditional mounting, the piece is ready to hang. It brings a scholarly accent to studies, offices, boardrooms and high-end residences, and makes a distinguished cultural gift for collectors, friends and business partners alike.
