Zhong Wenlong

Zhong Wenlong is a calligrapher dedicated to the classical regular-script tradition, trained under the renowned master Lu Zhongnan. He showed a talent for calligraphy in childhood, and became a student of the celebrated regular-script master Lu Zhongnan, inheriting his teacher’s dedication to Tang-dynasty regular script — with particular excellence in large-character writing. His calligraphy carries forward the essence of Lu’s style: attention to rhythmic flow, fluent brushwork and rigorous composition. His major works include “On Aspiration” and “On Self-Cultivation”; his small regular-script “Tao Te Ching” won an excellence award in the Ministry of Culture’s internati
