About the Artist

You Feng is a young seal carving artist of the Wuyin tradition whose work unites painting, calligraphy and seal carving in one disciplined hand. A graduate of the Sichuan University of Arts and Science, she has been honoured in national seal competitions and exhibitions — her style steady, refined and quietly beautiful.

Artist Introduction

You Feng (游凤) is a young seal carving artist who graduated from the Sichuan University of Arts and Science with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts and calligraphy. She is Deputy Secretary-General and standing council member of the Jiayun Seal Society, with the art name Wu’an. Her artistic path follows the classical order — from painting to calligraphy, from calligraphy to seal carving — and her seal style is centred on steadiness and refinement, in the gongwen tradition of balanced composition and meticulous knife work. Her honours include: first prize in the calligraphy and seal carving category (Group A) at the 9th Sichuan Provincial College Students’ Art Exhibition (2020); an excellence award in the Sichuan 2020 classical recitation, writing and speech series; third prize in the 3rd National “Seals of China” Teachers and Students Seal Carving Competition (2021); selection for the “Earth Flying Song” joint calligraphy and seal exhibition of Dachuan and Qianfeng districts hosted by the Jiayun Seal Society (2024); selection for the 2nd Chengdu Seal Script and Seal Carving Exhibition (2024); selection for the 13th National Seal Society Calligraphy and Seal Carving Exhibition (2024); and selection for the 1st National Exhibition of Female Seal Carvers (2024). In 2024 she joined the Nanjing Seal Society. Her works demonstrate a young artist’s solid command of classical seal grammar and an individual voice already recognised at national level.
