Glorious Journey: Exhibition Marks 105 Years of the CPC

“Glorious Journey, Art of the Era” (Guanghui Licheng, Shidai Danqing), a major art exhibition celebrating the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), opened on July 1, 2026 at the Museum of the Communist Party of China in Beijing. The show is guided by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and organized by the China Artists Association together with the museum, with the CFLAC Art Center serving as host.

140 Works, One Century of History

More than 140 works in Chinese ink painting, oil painting, printmaking, and sculpture trace the party’s journey of more than a century — from revolutionary origins to reform and opening up, and on to the achievements of the new era. Organizers describe the selection as work that portrays the era, records the era, and honors the era, pairing epic composition with vivid color, and guided by a people-centered approach to artistic creation.

Art for the People

The works celebrate the party, the country, and the people, capturing scenes of revolution, construction, and reform under the party’s leadership — from the spark of the May Fourth Movement to the vitality of modern Shenzhen. Curators say the exhibition aims to help visitors understand the party’s original mission through art, using beauty to educate and inspire, and to gather the spiritual energy of the new era.
